Message from the Director of Graduate Studies

Welcome to CFS! We are a collaborative multidisciplinary department with a vibrant research culture and strong sense of community. We offer two Master of Science degree options and a stellar PhD program; our faculty are nationally and internationally recognized. Together, students and faculty in CFS share a strong commitment to intellectual inquiry, diversity and inclusion, methodological excellence, and public scholarship. Our programs are designed to train highly competent scholars who will make significant contributions to society as researchers, educators, and professionals.

Whether you are a prospective applicant, new or experienced student, I invite you to be curious. Your graduate studies will likely be a time of tremendous academic growth and personal development. Numerous opportunities will open up, and your life will be shaped by new experiences and intellectual stimulation. We are excited to be part of your higher education journey!
