What is one piece of advice you would give your pre-practicum self?
I would tell myself to save money beforehand so I could spend more time focusing on my practicum, friends, and family, instead of working two extra jobs outside of my practicum
Describe your most meaningful experience so far:
The most meaningful experience I’ve had so far was getting to see the gratitude and relief on a mother’s face when I sat with her daughter for a little while so she could go get something to eat. It felt like such a small task for me, but through our conversation and how many times she said “thank you” to me, I could tell it was a very big deal for her.
I realized that tiny things for me can make a big impact on the families and patients here and that is something I’d love to be a part of for the rest of my life.
