422 Walking Tour

Early Childhood Teaching Methods – Walking Tour of Downtown Knoxville

Dr. Cara Djonko-Moore took her CFS 422 students (Early Childhood Teaching Methods) on a walking tour of downtown Knoxville to connect local buildings and businesses with social studies standards. Among the Sun Sphere (geography), US Bank (needs and wants), and the Chocolate Factory (US products and industries), the students visited Chancery Court and met with Clerk and Master Howard G. Hogan.  They learned about the role of the Chancery Court in the judiciary as well as the appointment and election process for court clerks.
